About the Brand

Founded by a biomedical engineer with over a decade of experience in biotechnology and the pharmaceutical industry, Helio Aesthetics was created to bring research-driven therapies into everyday life.

My background in GMP environments and FDA-regulated systems shaped how I evaluate health technologies – with rigor, evidence, and long-term outcomes in mind. My goal with Helio Aesthetics is to meld this industry experience with red light therapy and aesthetics more generally.

Red light therapy entered my life years ago through research. I was drawn to the cellular mechanisms — how specific red and near-infrared wavelengths support mitochondrial function, tissue repair, recovery, eye function, and skin integrity. What began as professional, scientific interest became a personal practice. I first noticed accelerated wound healing after a significant bout of road rash, followed by clearer skin and softer expression lines. The results were not dramatic overnight shifts. Rather, the results were consistent and measurable. I quickly learned that red light therapy is a life-long health practice.

As with many of you, I am an animal lover. What truly struck me in my early days of using red light therapy was when my cat instinctively gravitated toward the lamps during my morning sessions. This further piqued my curiosity on the applications of red light therapy. After taking a peer reviewed deep dive into red light therapy and animals, the science reinforced what our shared morning routine already suggested – this technology supports both human and animal health.
